Description Thinner P-4
Solvent P4 is an organic solvent, a mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones and ethers. Specifically, it contains 62% toluene, 26% acetone and 12% butyl acetate. This combination of components provides good consumer properties and effective dissolution of paints and varnishes, for example, to bring the paint to a working consistency.
Thinner P4 is a mixture of several solvents and is intended for thinning mainly perchlorovinyl paints and varnishes. It is manufactured in accordance with the standards stipulated by GOST 7827-74. One of the important quality indicators of the P4 solvent is its diethyl ether volatility, which ranges from 5 to 15 for this solvent.
All solvents have their own area of specialization, they are designed to work with certain chemicals. Solvent P4 is used to dilute paints and varnishes based on polyvinyl chloride chlorinated resins PSH LS and PSH LN, copolymers of vinyl chloride with vinylidene chloride or vinyl acetate, epoxy resins.
