Porous rubber materials based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) are a type of synthetic rubber known for their high resistance to weathering, UV radiation, oxidation, and aging. These types of porous rubber are characterized by high elasticity and good mechanical strength. Additionally, microporous rubber (EPDM) technical sheets offer good thermal stability, although they are not resistant to open flames. The material is also frost-resistant.

Microporous rubber (EPDM) has high resistance to aggressive chemical environments, such as organic and inorganic acids, salts, alcohols, vapors, seawater, cleaning agents, and polar solvents. It is compatible with vegetable and animal oils and fats but not with petroleum products, mineral oils, and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. In such cases, porous technical sheets based on butadiene-nitrile rubber (NBR) are more suitable.

Application
Porous rubber materials are widely used in various industries:

  • automotive
  • machine-building
  • heavy equipment manufacturing
  • oil and gas
  • electronics
  • ventilation
  • heating
  • food processing
  • advertising.

In these fields, porous rubber is used for making seals, gaskets, profiles, finished parts, supports, and mouse pads.
