Description Polyethylene sheet ≠ 15 mm, 1000×2000 mm (green)
Polyethylene boards and sheets of polyethylene, proven by many years of successful operation in various industries.
Sheet low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) is made by extrusion from shock-resistant and frost-resistant grades. Therefore, our products have increased strength, reliability, lightness and flexibility. They are easy to process and meet environmental certifications.
Sheet polyethylene and polyethylene sheets – physical properties
- Low density. Which is a little more value than polypropylene. Lighter than water.
- High strength. For the same weight, polyethylene sheets can be even stronger than steel. Moreover, this material is more plastic than polypropylene.
- Frost resistance. HDPE (low pressure polyethylene) sheets can be used at temperatures down to -50°C.
- Excellent dielectric properties. Plastic has a high dielectric constant and high dielectric strength, which allows it to be widely used as an electrical insulating material.
- Easy and fast welding. The material can be processed without problems with hot air using a welding dryer, melt from a welding extruder, polyfusion (butt) welding.
- Simple machining. Plastic is easy to saw by hand, drill, plan and cut. It bends easily, so complex structures can be easily made from it.
Sheet polyethylene – chemical properties
Resistant to aggressive substances. This allows the use of plastic in chemical industries: galvanic baths made from it withstand the effects of liquid metals, dilute and concentrated acids. Its resistance to chemical fumes makes it possible to manufacture air ducts and ventilation pipes for hazardous industries.
Ecological purity and safety for health. Sheet polyethylene is absolutely non-toxic, which allows it to be used for the production of pools and fonts. The safe chemical composition of the material allows it to be used for the manufacture of all kinds of containers and tanks for the storage and transportation of drinking water, sugar, grain and other bulk products. Plastic is widely used in the construction of wastewater treatment plants, hockey rink boards, and structures for children’s playgrounds. In food production, HDPE polyethylene sheets are used for cutting boards, food shelves, etc.
