Ammonium chloride is also known as ammonia or ammonium chloride. In appearance, this chemical substance is a powdery crystalline substance that has various colors from white to pink. It dissolves in water and is not very hygroscopic. In particular, when interacting with water, a reaction occurs resulting in the formation of ammonia. In agriculture, ammonium chloride is used as a secondary fertilizer, which is applied mainly in the fall to reduce and remove chlorine content from the soil.

- Ammonium chloride is used in agriculture as a minor fertilizer, applied primarily in the fall to reduce and remove chlorine from the soil.
This improves crop yields. Add to neutral or alkaline soils, also suitable for black soils. - Ammonium chloride is also used in the textile industry for dyeing fabrics; in the chemical industry the substance is used as a hardener for adhesives and varnishes.
- At electrical industry enterprises, ammonium chloride is used to remove the oxide film from the surfaces of metal products during soldering. Ammonium chloride is used in non-ferrous metallurgy for pickling metals.
- This reagent is used in the manufacture of signal and smoke bombs as a smoke generator.
