Butanol or butyl alcohol: for use as a solvent in the paint and varnish industry, in the production of resins and plasticizers

Butanol is a typical aliphatic monohydric alcohol. The main application is as a solvent in the production of paints and varnishes.

It is a solvent, a fuel component, and a raw material for the production of many organic compounds. For example, it is used to produce plasticizers and modifiers for polymers and synthetic resins. Butyl alcohol is in demand for the manufacture of fuel cells to produce hydrogen.
