Jute, an environmentally friendly material that is used in agriculture, for example, for heating, storing and transporting plants. This durable fabric allows air to pass through well and withstands temperature changes. It is safe to store food supplies in it. Our grandfathers also used high-density burlap as containers for storing, for example, flour, cereals, sugar, and animal feed.
The most valuable fabric is considered to be burlap, made from jute plant fibers. Jute contains a natural polymer – lignin, which gives the fabric special resistance to external factors such as sun and water. This material is recommended for use outdoors. The density of the material ranges from 190 to 315 g/m2. Denser jute burlap can withstand heavy loads and will last for several years.
Where is jute fabric or burlap used?
Jute is of plant origin and has advantages over other textiles. It is applicable for the production of bags, coarse water filters or for filtering technical liquids and packaging materials.
