Heat-insulating cord mullite-silica brand MK-1100, is a tape of mullite-silica fiber braided with high-temperature-resistant silica or quartz thread. Cord MK-1100 is available with a cross section of 8 to 60 mm. It is intended for sealing expansion joints in the lining of boiler units and furnaces. As well as gas turbines, junctions of air heaters to the lining, thermal insulation at temperatures up to 1100 °C. Density – not less than 0.5 g/cm³. Loss of the mass fraction of the substance during calcination – no more than 5%. Cords are non-toxic, non-flammable, non-flammable. Cords are wound into coils weighing 10-15 kg and packed in polyethylene film.

A feature of the cord MK-1100 is its high temperature resistance up to +1100°C. Low electrical conductivity, no harmful substances when heated.
Silica cord brand MK-1100 is widely used in industrial production and everyday life. It is used to seal seams and joints of high-temperature joints, such as boiler furnaces, gas turbines, air ducts. Silica cord 30 mm MK-1100 is used as electrical and thermal insulation of electrical wiring, inductive heating elements. The structure of the material allows the silica cord to work in conditions of water, gas, steam.
